چکیده
In this article, we propose a new behavioral modeling approach, called boosted model tree, to characterize and compensate for the complex nonlinear distortions induced by wideband high-efficiency radio frequency power amplifiers. With proposed model, input data are classified into different zones decision trees each zone is assigned separate submodels. We also employ boosting technique build multiple parallel tree structures that jointly desired behavior. By designing dedicated optimization procedures, both submodel coefficients can be efficiently identified. It demonstrated combination of piecewise provides powerful hardware-efficient way memory effect cross terms. Based on experimental results, method achieve improved linearization performance with low hardware complexity under challenging predistortion scenarios.

With the increasing importance of spectral efficiency in mobile communications, linearity of the RF PA has become a critical design issue for non-constant-envelope digital modulation schemes.1 This issue is particularly significant in spread spectrum applications such as CDMA and wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) base stations, where the peak-to-average ratio of modulated RF signals can vary over a range ...

As the mobile phone is an essential accessory for everyone nowadays, predistortion for the RF power amplifiers in mobile phone systems becomes more and more popular. Especially, new predistortions for power amplifiers with both nonlinearities and memory effects interest the researchers. In our thesis, novel predistortion techniques are presented for this purpose. Firstly, we improve the digital...

Modern modulation methods as used in 3rd generation mobile communications (UMTS) generate strongly fluctuating transmission signal envelopes with high peak-to-average power ratios. These properties result in significant distortion due to the nonlinear behavior of the radio-frequency power amplifier (RF PA). We propose different nonlinear model structures for such amplifiers, based on memory pol...

Power amplifiers (PAs) are inherently nonlinear elements and digital predistortion is a highly cost-effective approach to linearize them. Although most existing architectures assume that the PA has a memoryless nonlinearity, memory effects of the PAs in many applications ,such as wideband code-division multiple access (WCDMA) or orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), can no longer b...
